"Flowers in the Basement" was written to try and put the stress I was facing about proposing to my fiancé into words. It describes how sometimes we must hide things away to see them bloom at an ideal time.

"Holy Friday" was written after I awoke from a dream. Details a scene in a butcher shop just before Easter. Are we the lamb to be slaughtered, are we the savior, or are we both?
