about

Taken from a performance at the now closed down Noyes Museum of Art in Oceanville NJ on Sunday, May 3rd 2015. This marked Nicholas Edward Hertzberg's first live solo performance in over 5 years.

On this beautiful May day in the Pinelands, NEH performed many new songs by his band Like-Minded with his girlfriend Caitlin Darcy, some older solo tunes, covers and the pieces that make up this live album.

The four tracks captured here, using only a single microphone and a cell phone recording app, were written specifically for this performance. They were always intended to be only played once live- at this venue- and never to be recreated again.

The structures were written loosely over a few weeks before the event, and as seen in these recordings, improvisation played a large part as well. Instrumentation utilized includes standard-hammered and slide amplified acoustic guitar, a loop pedal, a floor tom, Oma talking, a cymbal, foot stomps and more.
