Sometimes they come back...or you just discover more of them!

Last year I released Misplaced Moments 2015 + 2016.
So why a "2016: Part 2"?
Well, simply put, I found a whole bunch of demos on a forgotten hard drive and an old app I used to record on, all from 2016.

If this is your first Misplaced Moments experience, welcome!
These are all demos or incomplete/imperfect songs.
There are many rough edges, differences in quality.
Random and out-of-tune instrumentation.
Abrupt endings and miscued hits.
Genre lines are blurred then destroyed.

I created this series to be a place where my musical thoughts that aren't fully realized can still have some sort of second life. I also use this series as a way to look back on my projects, like a snapshot in time. Some of these riffs make their way into newer songs or structures, but some live and die just in this collection. Regardless, I think it is a fun exercise and I am glad to be able to share them with you.

The songs are organized and named by the date they were originally born. All verbiage after that is to separate them from other songs recorded on an identical date (take the v productive 05.17.16 for example) both in this collection and in the past ones.

For this edition, I also tried something new and added an "Everything All at Once" track at the end where literally every one of the tracks leading up to it is overlapped and plays together for a few minutes. Over-stimulation can make for an exciting listen.

As with past Misplaced Moments editions, the photo for the cover is of me (blah vanity) from the year these songs were recorded. This cover is from a beach in Portland, Oregon where my wife (then girlfriend) and I went on vacation.
